This is the spine-tingling moment that a daredevil clambers across a slackline above a 360ft drop before letting go and base jumping to the ground.

The footage, filmed in Boyabat, Sinop, in the Black Sea region of Turkey, shows adrenaline junkie Cengiz Kocak engaging in the feat on February 15.

Far below him is a shallow, semi-dried river, a bridge and leafy trees and a jagged rock face.

Kocak, a veteran of 100 base jumps makes good progress to the centre of the wire, where he intends to let go and use a parachute to survive the 360ft drop

After arriving in the centre of the slack wire, Kocak hangs briefly before letting go and immediately opening his parachute

This is the spine-tingling moment that daredevil Cengiz Kocak clambers across a wire above a 360ft drop in Boyabat, Sinop, in the Black Sea region of Turkey, so that he can get to the middle to conclude his feat

To the sound of tension building atmospheric music, Kocak crawls along the wire upside down and edges towards the middle.

Once in the centre, Kocak, a veteran of 100 base jumps, then swings his legs beneath him and hangs briefly before letting go.

Almost instantly, he opens his parachute but appears to be very near to the ground when its fabric slows him enough for a gentle landing.

His feet touch hard ground next to a gaggle of birds, who appear unfazed by his arrival as they stay put rather than flying away.

After reaching the centre, Cengiz Kocak lets go and has very little time to open his parachute. He does so almost instantly but appears to be very close to the ground when its fabric slows him enough for a gentle landing near a gaggle of birds, who appear unfazed by his arrival
